Three esteemed women jurists will talk about the challenges and best practices for empowering women to lead in justice processes.
Speakers: Elisa Samuel Boerekamp, Amina Augie, Solomy Balungi Bossa
The HagueTalks will be followed by launch of a joint UNDP and UN Women initiative on women in justice in Africa. Developed through the UNDP-UN Women Gender Justice Platform, this initiative examines the representation of women in the judiciary, analyses the specific barriers preventing women’s leadership in the justice system, identifies lessons learned and makes recommendations for interventions.
